Another frigid day, but we warm up for the holidays

A seasonable week unfolds as rain chances build in later on

ROANOKE, Va. – Here is a look at what we are tracking this week! Some changes head our way as more seasonable days return.

What We're Tracking

The overall setup for the day favors an area of low pressure moving across the Great Lakes region on Monday. If you are traveling north for the holidays, you will likely run into some delays because of this.

Today

High temperatures across Southwest and Central Virginia max out in the 30s for most of the day.

Today

Christmas Eve looks like a nice day! Santa will have no difficulty coming to town Tuesday night as skies will be mostly clear to partly cloudy with declining temperatures.

Forecast

Christmas day starts off cool with temperatures getting close to 50 degrees by the middle of the afternoon. Mostly cloudy skies will also build in throughout the day.
