When you step outside this morning, it certainly feels tropical! Our dewpoints are on the rise ahead of the next weather maker that will bring showers and storms to the area both today and tomorrow. This will be very beneficial to the region and the drought that we have been in for quite a while.

The poolcast looks fantastic this afternoon! We have more heat and humidity in the forecast today as our next weather-maker is approaching. Our temperatures will stay above average today as well, but it will feel even hotter due to the humidity.

As you head out the door to church or brunch this morning, you’ll want to grab the umbrella to prepare for a few afternoon showers & storms. Otherwise, this morning we stay dry and mild! Our temperatures will quickly warm up into the 80s and 90s this afternoon.

This morning, our dewpoints are already on the rise. Our muggy meter is in the “noticeable” category. We will have a bit more moisture in the atmosphere today, thanks to a weather-maker just to our north.

We are starting off with really nice weather for our Friday! Temperatures will warm up very quickly today, and we will see a lot more sunshine than cloud cover. It will be a great day to get outside!

Southwest and Central Virginia can expect a stretch of warm, mostly dry weather through Saturday, with some thunderstorms returning Sunday afternoon.
