The other half is for frontline essential workers in Phase 1b and those in Phase 1a, as well as high-priority individuals in Phase 1b who waited specifically for the one-dose vaccine. “We offer the Johnson & Johnson out. The NRV Public Health Task Force is planning a large vaccination event on Monday, March 8, to distribute a big chunk of the Johnson & Johnson vaccines.

We'll be in the low 90s in the NRV, middle 90s in the Roanoke Valley and mid-to-upper 90s in Lynchburg and Southside. Even still, expect temperatures to peak around 85-91 (80s in the Mountain Empire, NRV and Highlands near 90 Roanoke, Southern Shenandoah, Lynchburg, and Southside). A few hit-or-miss showers and storms will be possible late Friday afternoon as a result of this front too. Highs in the low to mid 80s, with the humidity not playing much of a role. The heat and humidity both come back in full force in the early to middle part of next week.
