Two people are displaced after a house fire in Roanoke Tuesday. Crews were notified through a digital alert system, which is something that the Lexington Fire Department is hoping to put in place.

A Lexington home was significantly damaged in an overnight fire, according to the Lexington Fire Department.

ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY, Va. – A crash on I-81 North involving an ambulance caused delays on Thursday evening. A tractor-trailer hit an ambulance near mile marker 194.7 in Rockbridge County, according to the Lexington Fire Department. As of 10:01 p.m., traffic was backed up a half mile and the northbound left shoulder and left lane were closed, according to VDOT. Traffic was backed up for several miles at one point.
