Two people are displaced after a house fire in Roanoke Tuesday. Crews were notified through a digital alert system, which is something that the Lexington Fire Department is hoping to put in place.

Two have been displaced following a house fire in Lynchburg, Lynchburg Fire Department said.

A fire at a home in Lynchburg has resulted in two people and their pets being displaced, Lynchburg Fire Department said.

One person was struck by a train and two others are injured, although it is unclear whether the two were also struck or injured while attempting to evade the train, in Lynchburg Monday.

A fire occurred at a home early on Sunday morning that left one Lynchburg resident displaced, Lynchburg Fire Department said.

The LFD announced that they had rescued three people from flood waters in Craig County Friday.

Lynchburg drivers are being asked to avoid the area of Thomson Drive and Tate Springs Road near Centra Hospital due to down power lines in the area.

Lynchburg Fire Department personnel, including the Haz-Mat team, responded to the 1300 block of Hendricks Street around 10:40 a.m. after receiving a report that a local creek was completely white in color.

The Lynchburg Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 3200 block of Nelson Street just before 5 a.m. Sunday.
