VINTON, Va. – Valentine’s Day is now less than two weeks away, and today people in Vinton got a chance to see how it was celebrated in the past.
The Vinton History Museum celebrated vintage Valentines on Saturday. Candy boxes and Valentines from the past were on display, and people got to chance to hear love songs from decades past.
“We have a sight and sound collection, we have several Victrolas, older radios, TV… a postcard that was mailed in 1909”
Youth volunteers also helped out with the display together. You’ll be able to view the vintage Valentines at the museum throughout the month of February.
