Campbell County Sheriff’s Office launches new CCSO CARE Alert system

The CARE Alerts program encourages community vigilance and participation by providing residents with critical updates on local crime trends, safety tips, and upcoming events

CAMPBELL CO., Va. – The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday that in an effort to enhance community safety and foster real-time communication, the CCSO is launching its new electronic neighborhood watch program.

Community and Responder Engagement (CARE) Alerts allow residents to register for public safety updates via email or text message, empowering citizens with timely information to help keep their neighborhoods safe.

Participants will receive instant notifications about safety alerts, including any suspicious activity reported in their area, road closures, and other public safety announcements, according to the release.

“Safety is a shared responsibility, and our goal is to create a stronger connection between law enforcement and the community,” said Sheriff Whit Clark. “With this program, we are leveraging technology to keep our residents informed and engaged, helping us build a proactive approach to public safety.”

How to Register:

Those who are interested can go to the CCSO website here and enter in their basic information to register.

Once registered users will get real-time alerts, safety tips and educational resources along with community events.
