Single-vehicle accident in Lynchburg results in death of 90-year-old passenger

LYNCHBURG, Va. – On January 27, 2025, at around 10:01 a.m., the Lynchburg Police Department and Lynchburg Fire Department responded to a single-vehicle accident in the 1000 block of Moreview Drive.

According to the Lynchburg Police Department, officers and medics found a vehicle that had veered off the road and struck a tree. Both the driver and a passenger were taken to Lynchburg General Hospital for treatment.

The passenger, a 90-year-old male resident of Lynchburg, died from his injuries on January 28, 2025, as reported by the Lynchburg Police Department.
