Habitat for Humanity is celebrating its newest homeowner: the Musa Family. This is the 10th Home for Good Project for WSLS 10 News.
Early Wednesday morning, we spoke with David Tate, development director for Habitat for Humanity in the Roanoke Valley, about the significance of the milestone and what it’ll mean for the community.
In the video attached to this article, Tate will break down all that went into this project, highlight some of the individuals who helped make this dream a reality and reflect on what it means for the family.
A home dedication ceremony will kick off at 11:15 a.m. to celebrate the Musa family as they embark on this new chapter of life. Our very own 10 News Anchor John Carlin will present them with the keys to their new home around noon, with a ribbon-cutting set to follow.
