FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. – A former Franklin County Sheriff’s Major was sentenced this week.
Justin Sigmon was convicted of sexually abusing a young girl last year. The U.S. district court in the Southern District of Florida sentenced him to 24 months with time served.
He will then be on supervised release for 10 years, with special conditions that include providing a DNA sample and submitting to periodic, unannounced searches of his home and personal property.
He also must register as a sex offender.
