Vehicle fire on I-77N in Carroll County cleared

CARROLL COUNTY, Va.UPDATE

At about 6:25 a.m. Monday morning, Virginia State Police Troopers were called to a truck fire on I-77 northbound at the 6.6 mile marker in Carroll County.

Authorities said a Ford F-550 was pulling a ditch that caught fire in the far left and center lanes, blocking traffic.

Fortunately, no one was hurt in this incident.

The truck was a total loss.

The scene of this vehicle fire has since been cleared, according to VDOT.

If you’re driving along I-77N in Caroll County, expect delays.

VDOT is reporting a vehicle fire at the 6.6-mile marker.

At this time, the north left shoulder, left lane and center lane are closed.

There’s also a disabled tractor-trailer at the 4.3-mile marker that has closed the north right lane and right shoulder.
