What can we expect-- what are the hardwood tricksters bringing and what can get people excited and hyped to come see them?

“High flying dunks, I mean amazing ballhandling trick shots, the four-point shot that’s 30 feet away from the basket and a ton of fan interaction, Globetrotters guard Lucius “too tall” Winston explains.

“We’re looking to create memories --not only for you, but for us and we have just as much fun as the fans do,” Cherelle ‘Torch’ George says.

The Globetrotters will also be ‘running it back’ on the small screen. The squad enters year three of its Emmy nominated educational series “Play it Forward” that is geared to teens 13-16 years old. Kenny ‘the Jet’ Smith of NBA and now TNT fame is takes over hosting duties on the NBC Saturday morning program. It is chalk full of community initiatives as the stars not only shine-but they clearly consider it a priority to light the way for others.

The third season of “Play it Forward” premieres right here on WSLS-10 Saturday at 11. Tickets for their visit to Roanoke in March are currently on sale.
