PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. – Virginia State Police is investigating a deadly car crash which occurred on Saturday just after 3:30 p.m.
The single-vehicle crash took place on Route 729.

Investigators said a GMC Yukon was traveling north on Route 729 when the car ran off the right side of the road, overcorrected while crossing the road which then caused the car to overturn.
The driver of the GMC was identified as Kevin Lamont Ballard, 37, of Ringgold.
VSP said Ballard was not wearing a seatbelt, and died at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
