Virginia State Police is investigating after a Blacksburg police officer hit and killed a pedestrian while responding to a call, according to the police department.

Danville officials are taking steps to establish a North Main Business District as part of the city’s first zoning code update in two decades, aiming to attract new businesses while preserving historic architecture.

Authorities told 10 News that there will be a heightened police presence in Marion on Thursday afternoon.
