In region 3C, Heritage had two statement wins to claim the top seed. Western Albemarle came into the Hill City Friday night looking to wreak havoc.
Heritage struck first when Ray’Quann Rucker got his team on the board with a 7-0 score.
Western Albemarle responded quickly with a field goal to make it a 7-3 ballgame. Heritage would not let the game get close, however, and after making it 14-3, never looked back.
The Pioneers took home the 49-10 win over Western Albemarle.
