Mild & muggy start to the week

Isolated to scattered showers pass by for the next few days

ROANOKE, Va. – Mild and warm temperatures move in for the next couple of days. Rain showers come and go through the middle of the week.

Weather Headlines

Monday will feature partly to mostly cloudy skies with near-average temperatures. The air will also be muggy thanks to moisture continuing to move in from the south and west.

Today

The overall setup for the day shows moisture on the southside of the upper-level system track. This setup remains for a couple of days.

Rain showers move in later Monday night with scattered showers moving in at about 10 p.m. They become more isolated around 2 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Later Tonight

Showers come and go through the middle of the week and then temperatures begin to chill. Another blast of arctic air heads our way as we progress into the weekend.

Weather Notes

As we look ahead to next week, it will likely be dryer than average. A reminder, this does not mean rain will not fall, it means we will see less than we typically do during this timeframe.
