DANVILLE, Va. – The countdown is on! In just one week, Caesars Virginia will officially open its doors in Danville, marking the beginning of a new era for the region as it transforms into a premier entertainment destination.
Caesars Virginia is putting the finishing touches on its stunning new facility, which is expected to dramatically change the city and draw visitors from all over. The massive over 580,000-square-foot casino resort will feature not only an expansive casino floor but also a hotel with 320 rooms, a pool, and spa services.
While the casino opens to the public next Tuesday, Dec. 17, it’s much more than just a gambling venue—it’s a game-changing investment in the Danville community. For locals, some familiar elements will make the resort feel like home, particularly in its restaurant offerings.
“You are going to see a lot of Danville in what we are putting here,” Chris Albrecht, general manager of Caesars Virginia said. “Most distinctly is going to be the 500 block restaurants we have with our local partners Rick Barker and Steve Perry. You’re going to see the downtown Danville elements in there, but just the entire building. You’re going to see a lot of the brick and the things you see from historic downtown Danville.”
Beyond the stunning architecture and amenities, Caesars Virginia is expected to boost the local economy by drawing visitors from outside the area. Albrecht emphasized the importance of this investment for Danville’s future.
“All the other things Danville has to offer—this takes them out and they stay in restaurants and hotels. They are really getting a chance to see what Danville has to offer, and we are a big part of that,” he said.
When visitors step inside Caesars Virginia, they will immediately feel the energy of Las Vegas. To the right, they’ll find Gordon Ramsay’s renowned Ramsay’s Kitchen. To the left, the casino excitement awaits.
“We have just under 1,500 slot machines, electronic table games within our facility. We have 79 table games here at Caesars Virginia, and we have a 21-table World Series Poker Room,” Albrecht added.
The sprawling resort is not just about gaming; it also features luxury accommodations and a range of services. The 320-room hotel includes a spa, a pool, and other amenities designed to enhance the visitor experience.
As crews work to put the final touches on the resort, the big day is fast approaching. Caesars Virginia will officially open on Dec. 17, marking the start of a new chapter for Danville.
Albrecht said, their goal was to bring in over 1200 jobs to the area for this new facility and he tells 10 News they are close to that goal and are still continuing to hire.
Mark your calendars—this highly anticipated opening is sure to bring excitement and new opportunities to the region.
